I was not going to race at all. Saturday, Dad was doing much better but still in ICU. He told me to race on Sunday. I thought he was more important but he insisted I race. By racing, I landed a 4th in the race and won the series overall. Better yet we used that race as a fund raiser for Wounded Warrior Project and brought in over $2,500 in donations. After that race I thought I was done, but Dad said I had no reason to not race World Championships. So I'm going to Louisville for Masters Worlds in the middle of January. Thank you, Dad. When I was helping her out of her chair. She was really weak but she gave me the biggest hug! She died 9/11/11. But I will never forget that hug for as long as I live! I miss my mother! As the year progressed I was able to run the Navy ten Nautical Miler with my wife and one of my Soldiers. I also ran my first Marathon in St Louis and two weeks later the Half-Marathon in Savannah with my wife. I was able to see both my students complete their half-marathons in Sevierville, Tn during the Santa Hustle.
